For the PH8 of the Moon
Observations on Trust and Drama
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, TRUST, literally defined means:
1 a: assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
b: one in which confidence is placed.
For me, to trust someone is to offer them a fragile gift given from the heart. Once damaged it can be damn near impossible to repair. If repeated damage occurs scars often weaken the structure, jading the giver.
Violations of trust can range from the personal when the trust/confidence is betrayed for purely egocentric gain, to the impersonal where a complete stranger can violate an individual.
The lesson? Be careful where you place your trust for some find little value in such a gift.
Drama, in its colloquial use, is an addiction to some; they thrive on its creation. The real explanation of 'drama' dawned on me in conversation this past weekend. Every one of us is faced with difficult situations throughout our lives. Our initial responses can be, and very often are, highly charged emotional reactions. What we do with those emotions is what defines us. If we are proactive Powerful Humans, we are spurred to positive action that will lead us to a satisfactory conclusion or resolution of the situation. However, people choose to 'act out' and blindly follow deeply ingrained patterned behaviors align themselves with the fear-based ideology that has all but destroyed this precious world. Caught up in 'drama' victims of this behavior metaphorically wring their hands, relying on the "oh poor me" mind-set that has allowed fear to flourish in this world.
The lesson? Immediately withdraw from this behavior as it is negative and will drain you. Additionally, supporting it drains the world.
